Kennedy’s love for animals began at a young age. Growing up with a father who shared a special interest in reptiles—especially turtles—she quickly developed a deep appreciation for all creatures. One of her favorite childhood memories is digging for worms after school to feed her beloved box turtle, Joey. Through those early experiences, Kennedy not only formed a strong bond with her dad but also learned the basics of pet care, animal biology, and how to nurture animals in need.

Today, as an adult, Kennedy has built a full “fur-mily” of her own. She and her boyfriend, Bikki, share their home with two large-breed dogs, two domestic cats, two aquatic turtles, a sulcata tortoise, and of course, Joey the box turtle—still going strong.

In 2017, Kennedy turned her lifelong passion into a business and founded Kennedy’s Kanines. With every visit, Kennedy treats your pets like part of her own family. She understands how difficult it can be to leave your furry (or scaly) loved ones behind, which is why she provides daily updates and photos to give you peace of mind.
